Hamish's Youth Lead Connect story

Tue 27 Sep 2016

One of Hamish’s goal for the Youth Lead Connect program is to become more organised and believes he has achieved this and can be seen through many avenues including organising an infusion demonstration at the HFACT camp, assisting HFNSW with IT and attending the AGM and subsequent committee meetings. “I have had to be more organised to make sure that I’m at the committee meetings and at work on time”.

His advice for other youth wanting to be more organised is to: “take the time to work out the steps of what needs to be done, and give yourself some time to do this”.

ADVICE FOR OTHER YOUTH

His advice for other youth wanting to get involved in the community: “If you want fun things to happen and you want to hang out with other youth, learn new things and go new places? Then you need to have a go. Be the one to step out there.”

If you're thinking about being involved in your community, or you want to take the next step and be a leader, the Youth Lead Connect program may be for you!
