One of the goals of HFA’s youth program is to connect young people with bleeding disorders, so that they can have a support network of people who understand what it is like to live with a bleeding disorder, and may be able to offer support. As part of our personal stories, we interviewed some of our young people to find out how they benefited from the youth programs:
HAMISH, 24
Hamish spoke about what it was like hanging out with other young people with a bleeding disorder on camps.
SAM, 23
Sam told us why it was important to him to meet other young people and why he joined the Youth Lead Connect Program.
DALE, 29
Dale let us know why being a part of the HFA youth program was important to him.
BEN, 23
Ben shared the benefits he received from being involved in the Youth Lead Connect program.
