Vein resistance when injecting treatment product

When the needle starts to enter the skin it gets more resistant almost half way through. Could that be angle or?

Answer:

This is not an easy question to answer without seeing the injection site or technique that you are using to infuse your treatment product.

When the needle goes through the skin, resistance will be felt as the needle hits the vein wall. If the same injection site is used repeatedly, scarring will have occurred and the resistance will be firmer. The angle of the needle is not likely to be very relevant.

If you have any questions or concerns about injecting your treatment product, make sure you discuss them with your haemophilia nurse.
